Three member companies of the Association of Cement Producers of the Slovak Republic operate four cement plants in three regions of Slovakia. Our members make a significant contribution to building a reliable infrastructure with a key contribution to the quality of the Slovak construction industry. Each of our members also owns a ready-mix concrete production network and, as members of the Slovak Association of Ready-mix Concrete Producers (SAVT), they are thus vertically integrated into the construction materials production chain. The scope of ZVC SR members also includes the operation of gravel pits, quarries and even the production of concrete products (Danucem). The activities of member companies are also linked to logistics and transport services and activities in the field of energy recovery of waste and the production of alternative fuels. Overall, the cement industry creates more than 1,500 direct jobs in its operations and hundreds more indirectly in the field of supply and support services. The total turnover of ZVC SR member companies in 2024 amounted to 622 million EUR. The cement industry, with its extremely broad product portfolio, is therefore one of the most important sectors in the regions where it operates.
